FROGS is a non‑profit charter organization for Scouting America troops in Greater Southeast Texas—connecting youth with the raw, unforgettable beauty of the outdoors while building character, leadership, and community.
Who we are
FROGS is a community‑based, 501(c)(3) non‑profit charter organization dedicated to supporting Scouting America troops across Greater Southeast Texas. We partner with local units, families, and community leaders to ensure that every Scout has access to safe, meaningful, and challenging outdoor experiences.
From weekend campouts to high‑adventure treks, we believe the outdoors is a powerful classroom. Our role is to provide structure, resources, and adult leadership so that youth can focus on what matters most: learning skills, serving others, and growing into confident leaders.
To foster character, leadership, and a lifelong love of the outdoors by chartering and supporting Scouting America troops in Greater Southeast Texas.
What we do
We provide the chartered organization representative and oversight needed for Scouting units to operate with strong, consistent support.
FROGS works with local partners to secure safe, reliable spaces for troop meetings, training, and planning.
We help coordinate camping opportunities, gear resources, and logistics so units can focus on delivering quality programs.
FROGS encourages training, mentorship, and collaboration among adult leaders to maintain safe and effective youth programs.
We connect troops with service opportunities, sponsors, and community events throughout Greater Southeast Texas.
As a non‑profit, we manage donations and fundraising to support unit needs, camperships, and long‑term sustainability.
Focus areas
From first campouts to advanced backcountry trips, we encourage hands‑on learning in fire building, navigation, outdoor cooking, and more—always with safety at the core.
FROGS promotes stewardship of the wetlands, forests, and coastal ecosystems of Southeast Texas through service projects and conservation‑minded outings.
The outdoors is where youth learn to lead. We support youth‑led troops, patrol method, and opportunities for Scouts to plan, decide, and grow through real responsibility.
